Machine Patents. As explained in our Fault Mitigation Patents, faults are localized and repaired by the receiver, which is a machine, in ways that humans cannot. For example, humans cannot detect radio waves. If they could detect radio waves, humans could not process the waveform data to extract subcarrier properties because the signals from many subcarriers are intermingled. If they had access to the separated data, humans still could not perform the mitigation steps in millisecond time scales, as required to avoid a retransmission request. Finally, humans could not determine the correct version of a corrupted symbol because this requires correlating multiple data features in realtime.
